Your birth details

When you press the button, the calculation runs on your phone or computer. Your date, time and birthplace are not sent to our server and don't go into visit statistics. Close the tab and they're gone.

To suggest cities as you type, your browser downloads a shared list of places for the first letter. Our server only sees which letter's list was requested, never the name you typed or the city you chose. The list of large cities used for the map labels is one shared file, the same for everyone.

Links to your map

If you press “Copy link to this map”, your birth details are written into the link itself, after the # sign. Browsers don't send that part of a link to any server when they open it, so we still never see it. Anyone you send the link to can read the details, though, so share it the way you'd share the birth details themselves.

Visit statistics

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are opened, on which devices and browsers, roughly from which countries and cities, and where visitors come from. It doesn't receive your birth details.

Google Analytics sets the _ga and _ga_* cookies for up to two years. Google signals and ad personalization are off, and statistics are kept for two months. The data is processed by Google LLC and may be transferred to the United States.

Until you choose Accept, Google Analytics doesn't load and no cookies are set. You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. If you decline after accepting, the counter turns off and its cookies are deleted. Your choice itself is remembered only in this browser.

Hosting

The site runs on Cloudflare. Like any host, Cloudflare sees technical request data, such as IP addresses, and uses it to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. It also counts visits in total, without cookies and without identifying anyone.
